Hostelling Weekend
We are planning a hostelling weekend in March 2009. Details will be given at the meetings.
What happens in a session
Elfins and Pioneers start with circle time, play games, and join an indoor or outdoor planned activity. At the end of the session, we form a circle and sing the first verse of Link Your Hands Together.
Venturers also choose and organise their activities.
Parents
The group is currenlty 50p per child, and we charge for hostelling / camping weekends. The subs may go up in January 2009 so that we can cover our costs. Parents who wish to help out are are welcome to volunteer an extra pair of hands, even if they can only manage it occasionally. We also appreciate help with fundraising activities.
More Information
We provide an informal and supportive environment for young people to develop their ideas, share experiences, explore opportunities and make life-long friends in their locality and beyond. We are co-operative. We believe in equal opportunities and access for all members. We are open to people of any religion or none. We empower young people to make decisions themselves and to take an active part in the world about them. We are dedicated to the building of a more peaceful future. We promote an understanding of the need to protect our environment and the use of the world's resources. Our international links help us to span the world with friendship.
